your local weed dealer is about to start lookin for a second job. the medical marijuana is nj is gonna have prices droppin like crazy. the post did a story and they found a hustler who is doin the math:

The estimated cost for medical marijuana in New Jersey is roughly $125 an ounce. The New York dealer who spoke to the Daily News said he sells the same product for $500.

“You can’t drop prices to match that,” he said. “You’d lose hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

“As a smoker, I think it’s great. But from a business aspect, it’s going to cut a lot of people,” he said.

haiti is so fucked up right now its beyond comprehension. there are plenty of organizations you could donate you. i particularly trust yele.org however, wyclefs organization had come up with an idea that links other organizations in with their efforts. they are calling it the haiti earthquake alliance. do something, anything to help those in need. a state of panic is beginning to set in amongst the haitians and things can get alot worse, civility is only possible when people have food, water, shelter; lifes basic necessities. if not, it becomes every man for himself and there are many women and children survivors who will become victims a second time over.

sad to say, but 5 pointz (originally phun phactory) will be closing for good at some point in 2010. the realty company who owns the building has decided that the repairs ordered by the dept of buildings is too costly and is going to… wait for it… build condos instead! yay gentrification!

an investigative report done by some dude at slate.com came through with these facts:

* According to Warner, neither it nor any of its subsidiary record labels ever had a contract with Shanté, and it was not obligated to pay for her education. Indeed, there’s no evidence that it ever did.
* Shanté—real name Lolita Shanté Gooden—doesn’t have a Ph.D. from Cornell or anywhere else. Indeed, she admitted it in an interview with Slate. And Cornell has no record of Gooden (or “Shanté”) ever attending or receiving a degree.
* According to Marymount Manhattan College records, Shanté enrolled there but dropped out less than four months later without ever earning a degree.
* New York state records indicate that no one named Lolita Gooden or Roxanne Shanté is licensed to practice psychology or any related field.

I have been a fan of Eminem’s since his first LP. I bought a ticket to his Hammerstein Ballroom show the day before the concert and still was able to get General Admission. I always thought that would be the first and last time that would ever happen. 

Until now.

After briefly listening to his new album Relapse I have to ask you Eminem. Why are we still rapping about your mom, popping pills and females you can’t stand? I’m all about freedom of expression but after waiting 5 years to hear that unique rhyme flow and skill this is what you give me?? Where is the progression? I’m sure you have gone through things in your life the past 5 years that are worth speaking about. I just don’t understand. Did Dr. Dre really listen to this album and think “This is shit is on fiya!”?
